Starbucks, LOL!!!

Starbucks to offer Dollar Menu

by Frap Puccino

RICHARDSON (AMP) - Reacting to the current trend of "value menus" at fast food chains, coffee giant Starbucks has announced plans to introduce their own Dollar Menu at all participating locations.

"Seeing as everyone else is now acknowledging poor people with substandard products, we decided that it would be to our advantage to sell our excess stock to those who would ordinarily consider Starbucks out of their price range," said a company shareholder. "Of course, anything good at Starbucks will remain out of their price range, but we might as well take their money if they're here."

The Starbucks Dollar Menu will consist primarily of damaged versions of regular Starbucks products. The McGuffin Muffin, one of the primary items on the menu, is a half-baked muffin that is 75% walnut by-product. The Not-Too-Shoddy Biscotti is also a damaged version of a regular biscotti, crudely broken in half and sold individually. The Five-Piece Coffee Bean Combo consists solely of five coffee beans placed in warm water, which may or may not taste vaguely like coffee after a few minutes.

"I've always wanted to try the Starbucks experience," said a local man crunching through a McGuffin Muffin. "Now, I know what it's all about: walnuts. And flour." •

Weather
Dallas has had a lot of rain lately. I love when it rains because I get to rest a while for some reason. Well everything had been great until today morning. I was on my way to school for a meeting with my counselor when it happened. I was listening to the radio and they were talking about shoes and how some Jimmy Choo's were around $300 (impossible, they cost more than that). Back to my story.... I was going the spped limit since it was raining when I saw the traffic light I was approaching turn to yellow. I was about half a block away form the light so I started braking and then.............. The FREAKING breaks were NOT working!!!!!!! I was going 40 mph and the light was turning red. I could not stop because of the breaks and the water in the street. I freaked out and I just started beeping and turned right away into a parking lot near by. Luckily there were no cars near me. The van was going slower by then and then I hit the breaks once again and they worked. I could not breath at all and I just had a panic attack. I decided to keep on going to school since I was not far. I got to school safe, but as soon as I parked I started crying. I was so scared and I was shaking a whole lot. I feel much better now but I am afraid about tomorrow since we are having rain tonight and tomorrow. I hope I don't go thru this again. It was a horrible experience. Well my dear friends be safe while your drive and if you me near by, you better run.

Birthday
Yesterday was my 19th birthday and it was not the greatest thing ever. I am used to celebrating a BIRTHWEEK and not a birthday. I was very busy studying for my gen chem II test which was given on my birthday!!! I spent all day in school since my test was at 7:00pm with my chem tutor. I took a little brak and I bought myself a little $5 cake (delicious) and went to a great restaurant called Fogo de Chao where I had a solitary lunch. I went back to school and kept on studying. The time came to take my test and I started freaking out because I forgot everything. I took my test ans it seemed to be easy for me. I have no idea on how I did, I just hope I did ok. I got back home around 9:30 pm and rested for a while. I have two more tests coming up and a paper due on Friday. All this means that I had a horrible bithrweek. I will celebrate my birthday with my family and friends this coming weekend. My parents have reservations for another great (and expensive) restaurant, 3 Forks. I got many presents besides my tests and essays. I got a 2GB flash drive (that works), four pair of jeans, shoes, a beautiful suit, cash, and birthday songs and MANY HUGS! I can not wait until the weekend because I will be able to rest and do some shopping!!!!

If anyone cared -Nickleback
From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you’d be mine
But here we are, we’re here tonight

Singing Amen, I’m alive
Singing Amen, I’m alive

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We’d see the day when nobody died
And I’m singing

Amen I, I’m alive
Amen I, I’m alive

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We’ll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

Singing Amen I’m alive
Singing Amen I’m alive

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We’d see the day when nobody died
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We’d see the day when nobody died

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
We’d see the day when nobody died

We’d see the day, we’d see the day
When nobody died
We’d see the day, we’d see the day
When nobody died
We’d see the day when nobody died

Life

Life

 Life is a dream,
Life is incredible and amazing.
When you walk through life,
You walk through cotton-soft clouds.
Clouds that sing along with angels;
The angels that lead your path every step of your way.

 Life is inexhaustible happiness.
You can laugh, play, and have fun.
Lots of fun that become unforgettable memories that are impossible to be erased from your mind.

Life is a rose from heaven.
A rose, that is a masterpiece created with beauty.
A rose that
possesses the smell of sunshine
And petals created with the finest velvet.
Life is the rose that is watered by the tears of extreme joyfulness.

Life is a journey that has only one goal, happiness.
Follow this path, enjoy the journey, reach its goal, and be as blissful as you can, because there is only one opportunity to do it.

  Enjoy Life!

Rock
Lately, I came to a drastic conclusion about the music I like. I used to love all those romantic songs and now I love ROCK. I have been listening to a whole lot of Metal and plian rock, from Mago de Oz to Kiss. I have no idea why this started, but I like it. I actually feel relaxed when I hear the guitar and drum solos. It is amazing how I have been changing a whole lot. Well to conclude this post, here is a video of one of my favorite songs.

Movies
I finally get some time to rest from school today. I have a bit of HW so I can do it tomorrow, lol. I love watching TBS and the GREAT movies they pass for those of us who hate all the channels on cable other than TBS, TNT, Food Network, and History channel. Back to the post... I have watched two great movies that are kind of old, but GREAT movies. The first one is Bridget Jones: the age of reason ans the second one is Kate and Leopold. Bridget Jones is a hilarious movie about this "overweight" girl and her "troubles" with love. Kate and Leopold is a romantic movie that has a time difference of 200 years. This movie is kindda funny, but extremely romantic.
I recommend these movies to everyone!!!!!!!

Atrpasuenos
Here is one of the my favorite Mago de Oz songs.

"Atrapasuenos"

Y te enseñaré a vencer a tu enemigo
Que no son los demás
Eres tú, ¡¡eres tú!!

Hay que fracasar
Y a veces fondo tocar

Template
I am working on a new template for the Spring 2007 season. This template will be totally different from any template I had before. This is a Chinese themed template and I hope it will turn out to be a great template. I am pretty sure I will have up and running by late April or early May.

Back to everyday posting.... I had a "test" for body systems today for which I have to memorize about 20 different images that range from spinal cord to ears and eyes. I only had 1 hour of sleep since I spent all night studying for this and for my precalc test. I am very sure that I got a hundred in my body sys test since I have a great memory :-p and I am sure I did great in my precalc test, since I have the best tutors ever!! Gotta go and get some sleep !!!

Memory Lane
I have been helping a girl from my former high school with all her college things and trying to get her to enter UTD. I have been talking to her in the phone and by email, but I never met her before. I had to pick up some papers from her so I went to my high school to get them and meet her. As soon as I walked into the school, I saw a familiar face...Tony. As some of y'all know the story, Tony was the guy who broke my heart back in high school. It had been a while since I last saw him. We saw each other, but we did not exchanged words. He looked cuter than ever. He had finally grown a beard and his hair was still that of Prince Charming. In the second both our eyes met, I decided to turn and continue on my path to the main office. On my way there, I bumped into Niko, the guy who has always been there for me even after I dumped him to be with Tony, Ironic. He also looked great. He had lost a lot of weight since he is going with the NAVY. I finally got to the office and figured out where this girl was at. Again, while I was walking to the classroom, I bumped into Tony and we were about to talk when one of friends saw me and yelled out my name. I turned around and hugged her and this other girl came up to me to talk. I guess that Tony walked away because I turned and he was gone. God, this sounds like a soap opera, but I am afraid it is reality. I finally got to meet this girl and she was very nice. The thing I liked about her the most was her goal to get into a university. I was leaving her when I decided to go visit a former teacher. Mrs. Landy, is one of the best and happiest teachers I ever had. (This is where Memory Lane comes by...) When I was in her gym class, I met a guy who used to call me J.Lo. all the time. I was not bother by the nickname, but Mrs. Landy was. She asked me if I was ok with the nickname and I told her I was ok with it. From that point on everyone in the class knew me as J.Lo. and not Mitzi. Even now, Mrs. Landy saw me and she called me J.Lo. followed by "What is your real name, J.Lo.?" She told me that she has passed my J.Lo. story to all her classes and friends. I felt really good because I am being remembered and "loved" by many as J.Lo. I wish I had enough time to tell the entire J.Lo. story, but I have homework and the internet is my enemy.

Ohhhh, forgot to mention that I got a hair cut and I HATE it!!!!! It is extremely short and I can not wait until it grows back.
