The school semester is getting so close to being over. Like I said before the pressure is starting to build up and I am at a point in which I just want to jump off a building. I have four tests next week and I can not take the stress. I have my biology laboratory final on Monday, O-chem laboratory and O-chem lecture tests on Thursday and Calculus test on Friday. I have been studying hard but the pressure of getting good grades is the thing that is killing me. While walking to the library yesterday, I bumped into this person. He was handicapped but he still told me (a total stranger) "Good Morning". That just made my day. I was so glad that someone still says good morning at UTD. My university is well known for being very anti-social. I am learning to manage my stress now. The more pressure I put on myself, the more stress I am going to gain, and the worst I will do in classes. I am just going to try my best and see how everything turns out. Wish me luck, I will need it!
Rest in Peace Grandma....We still need you here.....
While "stalking" people on facebook...lol...I came across this....
1. All politicians are the same => no point in chosing one
2. There is really is not point in voting because the outcome is determined by rich people who control the government. See politicians are there to give u the idea that u have choice. U dont! lol ... u have people who make the decision for u => no point in voting.
could it be true....?
I am so happy that I got to vote!!!!! I hope my vote will make a difference in our future.....
So it is a new month....November is here and we are getting closer to Christmas and New Year's. Time has gone by so fast (like usual). The school semester is almost over and I can feel the pressure of finals building up. I am so ready for winter break...woo hoo!!!!
Election Day is tomorrow....many people say that these elections are going to be historic....lets see if they are...I tried to go early voting, but I just didn't had the chance. I will wake up extra early tomorrow so I can get to the voting place early and not wait in line. I am very excited because this is the first time I vote in the big (important) election....yay!!!!!!
until next time.....
I am very EXCITED because my favorite band, Mago de OZ, will be coming back to Dallas...!!!!!! They will be playing at the House of Blues on Nov. 23. 2. The Ten Commandments are actually only five, double-spaced, and written in a large font.
3. New edition every two years in order to limit reselling.
4. Forbidden fruit would have been eaten because it wasn't cafeteria.
5. Paul's letter to the Romans becomes Paul's e-mail to abuse@romans.gov.
6. Reason Cain killed Abel: They were roommates.
7. The place where the end of the world occurs: Finals, not Armageddon.
8. Out go the mules, in come the mountain bikes.
9. Reason why Moses and followers walked in desert for 40 years: They didn't want to ask directions and look like freshmen.
10. Instead of God creating the world in six days and resting on the seventh, He would have put it off until the night before it was due and then pulled an all-nighter.
Hello my dear Mo'timers.....
I am back from
Only six people from UTD went to the conference. We drove from
The next day (Friday) we had the College Bowl.....I was freaking out about the whole competition idea. I knew all the students were going to split into groups, but what I didn't knew was how the teams were going to be chosen. There were many companies at the HENAAC conference. The companies went from Chevron to NASA. We had to go to the booths of the different companies and "sell" ourselves. We had to demonstrate why we had to be chosen by a certain companies to participate on their team. I interview with most of the companies there....the only one I can remember were Chevron, NASA, US ARMY, IBM, REDCOM, and Sandia National Laboratories. Each companies choose the students they were interested on. I was so lucky to be chosen by Sandia National Labs!!!!!! I am a very shy person so the whole draft process was a total different thing for me. None of my friends were chosen into my team so I had to meet new people. All the teams were separated through out the hotel. I went with my group and I got to meet some of the most awesome people in the conference. I met people from
So the next day came by (Saturday).....We had a career fair (THANKS
The last day came by (Sunday).....I didn't wanted to wake up....I was so tired of dancing all night long....but we had to get up and pack. After we finished packing all the UTD students went to the Hard Rock Cafe....I bumped into BJ once again.....We all had a blast together. We all went back to the hotel because we had a luncheon. The luncheon was very important to all the students because they were going to announce the winners of the college bowl!!!!! it ended up being that Sandia National Laboratories (aka my team) WON 2nd place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were all SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every team member won a $300 scholarship........After the luncheon we headed back to
I had the greatest time in Houston.....I am more than ready to go to next year's conference in Long Beach, California.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are a few pics that I took....I am still waiting for some of my new friends to email me more....
I will be leaving tomorrow at 1pm and will be coming back on Sunday at 4pm....I am very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
See y'all soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live in a city next to the snobbiest part of Dallas. I actually don't live in Dallas. We should be called the University of Texas at Richardson. We lack a football team, but we DO have the #1 Chess team in the nation! Greek houses? You gotta be kidding me. I was a Computer Science major, but then I hate programming, only playing Counterstrike. Now I am a Business major. But wait I hate accounting. Now I am a (insert easy major) major. I avert my eyes away from people because I am scared of social interaction. If you say hi to me chances are I don't speaka English. I hate Waterview so much I made a website called Waterview Sux and I moderate it. Don't ask me to participate in anything or go to parties, I am a bum and a nerd. I play on the wireless network and try and crack it. I never leave my apartment because I have no social life. I live in a dry county, so fraternities and sororities are screwed. Parties here get busted faster than you can say paper thin walls. We have to recruit high school girls because the girls that go to UTD are either Indian, introverts, whores, or have long distance boyfriends. I drive my Beamer around and blast loud crappy music. I hate Asian girls named Diana. What is that smell...curry?. We used to be the Comets, but we were told to change our name because the Special Olympics mascot is the Comets. I am a TEMOC...err nerd.
I am a nerd.
All of the things above are true about my university....but I still LOVE UTD.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thinking of doing study abroad for summer 2009....I have four destinations in mind right now... 1) Bath, England 2)Barcelona, Spain 3) Quebec, Canada and 4) anywhere in the Caribbean. I really want to go to England, so Bath is my number 1 choice. I am going to start applying for scholarships to see if I will be able to go anywhere.....Which place would you choose?
I am watching...Hubble's Amazing Universe in NatGeo.....I am learning SO much about the universe and physics.....I love NatGeo !
