While watching   a music channel a few days ago I came across an awesome rock band....I have heard of that band before but I never put attention to it. That band is Queen....I have fallen in love with them...Yes, I admit I am listening to the music my parents used to listen to when they were my age...lol....The first song I heard was Bohemian Rhapsody....BEST song in the world! I love the way it goes from sad song to opera to rock and back to sad. After seeing the video I decided to go into my research website (Youtube) and look them up. I came across so many songs I listened to before, but never new they sang. Songs such as You Are My Best Friend, We Are The Champions, Somebody To Love, We Will Rock You...etc. I also bumped into three songs that made me cry .... Love Of My Life, I Was Born To Love You, and Friends Will Be Friends. When I heard Love Of My Life....I broke into tears....that is all I can say.....I have found a new band now.....yay...I was getting a bit tired of Mago de Oz and Ozzy.....lol.....

It is almost time to go back to school.... NOOO!!!!!! I only have one more free day. I will start school this Thursday. I have all my "supplies" and books ready to go. I am not very excited about this semester since I will have classes from 8:30am-10:30pm...... but at least I will have a day off during the week. Wish me lots and lots of luck for this upcoming semester!

I have not been around motime in a while....I misses everyone so much. Life is going great up to this moment. I can't believe my summer break is almost over!!!!!!!!! I am going to start school next Thursday!!!! I am so happy this is going to be my second semester as a junior in college. I am one semester ahead so hopefully I will graduate a semester earlier. I am going to start buying my school supplies and getting ready. I am also happy because I dont have to buy any books this semester. I got to borrow all my books from the university so I get to save a lot. I am ready to go back and more ready to finish the semester....! My friends and I decided to have a get-together before school starts. We went to a Lebanese restaurant called Al Amir. I loved the food and the music!!!! It is also a night club, but the cool part is that they play a lot of Arabic music. I have always loved Arabic music! Hello Dear Motimers!

I have been very happy this week  !!!! Many good things have happened to me during this week and I am very thankful for them. I got my FIRST paycheck today....!!!!  I was so happy when I got it because it this is my first job and this was my first paycheck. I believe that now I know what making money really is and that is not someting that should be taken for granted. I have worked very hard for this money and I will not spend this money like crazy. I have just opened a savings account and I put that money there. I feel like a responsible "adult"....lol....! This week is my last week of work . I am a bit sad because I feel so attached to the kids I have been working with. We have all becomed friends and I know I am going to miss them so much. At the time I am happy to be done with work because I will be able to rest once again before going back to school.  Also, while I took a quick trip to Target today, I bumped into one of my 7th grade teachers. She was one of the best teachers I have ever had in school. She is the one responsible for me learning English. I saw her about three years ago when my brother was at the middle school she teaches at. She told me that she recognized me as soon as she saw me. I was so happy to her !!!! So, this is it for this week folks....so far so good! Lets see what next week brings me.....

Today, my little brother left Dallas to go on a week trip to San Antonio, TX. He left to go to Boot Camp with the rest of his high school JROTC team. I was so sad when I saw him getting into the bus because I pictured him as a brave soldier going off to an unknown adventure. It has only been a few hours since he left and I miss him to death. He will be gone for a week and what am I going to do without him...who's going to wake me up in the middle of the night to make him muffins...lol....long story made short....one night about a week ago he came knocking into my door with a toaster oven and muffins on his hands. He was craving muffins so I baked them for him in my room....Well, I bet he is having fun since he really wanted to go to Boot Camp.....On my way back from dropping him off, i thought of my friend B (who left Dallas a few weeks ago) and I remembered an awesome song he sang one day. I had no idea who the singer was, but I guessed the title of the song.....It is called "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel  Kamakawiwo'ole. I found the song on youtube and I did some research on the artist. I fell in love with the story of the singer. Here is the video...enjoy!!!

Hello my dear Mo'timers...it has been a while since I last posted, but not much has happened. So far I have been resting and taking care of some stuff. The awesome news that I got last week was that I got an internship!!!!! I wanted to get a job for the summer so that I could be able to buy my books for next semester. It turns out that I got a paid internship and I don't have to buy books for next semester...woo hoo!!! I got an internship as a SAT Math teacher. I know it is not an internship that applies to my major, but it is an internship. I will be hired by my awesome university (UTD). I will only work three days a week for four weeks. The only bad thing about the internship is that the school I am going to teach at is 26 miles away from my home and it will take me about an hour to get there. I am so happy...I can't wait to start!!! I will start working on Tuesday (06-17)...so wish me LUCK!!!!!

So....the month of May 2008 has been one of the BEST months of my life.   I got to do so many things I would not even think of...lol...and I got to hang out with my awesome friends in so many days. Just as a quick recap....party, party, six flags, party, went out with more friends, and last but not least..the MAGO de Oz concert!!!! .  Only two things made May a bit sad...when my awesome friend Brandon left Dallas and Me not being able to go to Florida . I am still planning the trip to FIU for June/July....I hope I can make it there before I leave for Mexico in July.

The Mago de Oz concert was a dream come true !!!!!!!!!! I waited three years for this band to come to Dallas and they finally came!!!! They played all my favorite songs! I was ROCKING out loud...lol....My dad took me (he is a big fan of the group as well) and we both had so much fun (except for the 10 times we were covered in beer....lol)....Here are some pictures of the concert.....

I will finally get to go and see my favorite band in concert. I waited so many years for them to come to Dallas and tomorrow will be the day....woo hoo!!! I am SO happy!!! I can't wait to see....MAGO DE OZ...!!!!!!!

It is the month of May and many things that I wanted to happen have or are going to happen, but there are some things I don't want to happen this month......

Things that have happened

         1) Finished this semester  

         2) got good grades (so far)   

         3) I am getting some rest

Good things to happen

         1) Going to Six Flags with my awesome friends (the ones on my profile pic)

         2) Going to the Mago de Oz concert in Dallas and not McAllen as planned before I have waited years or this concert and I can't believe they are finally coming to Dallas.....AWESOME!!!!!!!!

         3) Sex and the City Movie ..... also waited years for this movie.....more awesomeness.....

         4) I finally get to go to Mexico on my own.....My parents are letting me go to Mexico by myself and have a bit of fun in my hometown.....can;t wait!!!!

Bad things to happen

         1) My dear and awesome friend B will be leaving Dallas to go back to his hometown and finish his masters over there. I am sure going to miss him since he was the only one who made me laugh no matter what was going on in my life (and helped me lots with physics). I dont want to leave, but I guess he has to. I am going to miss Random B (aka Rudie....lol...)

 

These are my plans for the month of May.....I hope none of then change and I get to enjoy life.....take care my dear Mo'timers.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

 

OK....I am done with the Spring 08 semester...woo hoo!!!!!!! Well, not really, I still have a 7 page paper due on friday. I can't believe my Physics professor will us write a 7 page summary of the class right after we took his final.....poor us.....I am almost done with it and I will go turn it in tomorrow.

I went to a ROTC honor ceremony at my brother's high school. I felt just like a soccer mom when I got there. He got a diploma for wining some competition. I am so proud of him.......I think I am becoming a soccer mom.....lol.....or should I say a ROTC mom....LOL

I am almost done with my finals and school.....one more day and two more tests!!!!! I only go to school tomorrow and take my evil Biology and Physics finals.....I will be back very soon!!!
